DID I REALLY CHOOSE THIS ????

FIONA: To what extent have our souls chosen the events that unfold in our lives, e.g. trauma?

GUIDES: The system, this is the eternal part of you that is married to the temporal part of you, that will give birth and will then die, chooses its overall shape and form. Temporarily, you have been born into a life that will give you a disposition for physical, mental, emotional traits. We would also say energetic traits, although this is less well understood. We are talking roughly about genetics. These tendencies will mean that you will gather to you all of those experiences and events that will give you an opportunity to expand beyond them.

Now, the burning question: does someone choose to be born to suffer cancer? For some the answer is yes, and for others no. For those where the answer is yes, it is not cancer specifically, it is physical adversity. This can take many shapes and forms, either in illness or in trauma. Remember, for those of you who have the diagnosis of cancer and wish to heal themselves, it is about coming back to life. Moving away from a mind dominated state of being without love, appreciation of the self, without joining in the brilliance of the world and the living forces around you. Regardless of the adversity, we would say, seek at all times to join in the wondrousness around you, the harder the experience is the more difficult this is, and we know this. On some level you are capable of achieving such, even the small ones. This may not be enough to create an entire physical healing for you in this lifetime. This is nothing to be ashamed of; sometimes things are simply too tough.

It is no different from trying to run a marathon. If it doesn’t feel good, running a marathon is the biggest chore that you can imagine. If it feels great and will stretch you in a positive way then your energies, your life force, will expand towards it. Life is not to be a marathon, rather more of a journey whereby you move through experience after experience. For some of you, experience is being born into a particular family, having schooling, a first job or further education, then a career and then potentially a family. For others, there is no particular order. But this is not the nature of reality; that is the expectation of society.

Your real experience happens as you move from one moment to the next. It can seem so small and insignificant that you might not recognise the consequences of small choices that are made along the way, such as, to take time and smell the roses. Many of you were not brought up to take time to smell the roses, you were taught to pull yourself up, work harder, achieve, or you were taught to expect nothing. Therefore, you had no role model that allowed you to experience the wondrousness of life. But in the words of a great master, “Look at the lilies of the field, they do not toil”. You need not toil regardless of what is happening to you. This goes back to the question that was asked, how you can surrender with chronic pain. Regardless of your situation, accept it. It does not disconnect you from the world around you. It simply is your connection to the world around you. But it is not the only connection. You can sit with pain, you can sit with an amputated leg and you can enjoy. You can enjoy the fresh air, the breeze, sounds, sights, people, the beating of your own heart.
Have we answered the question?

FIONA: Yes.

GUIDES: We feel we will come back to this one for experience is a big one and for many of you the experience of cancer is overwhelming. Yet there are small moments of experience happening all the time, whether you have a diagnosis or you do not, whether you have a tumour growing or shrinking.

12: Dealing with pain

Background: I was asked to pose this question to the guides by a friend of mine who has had a diagnosis of bone cancer. Thanks for the question!

FIONA: How can one feel surrendered to chronic pain?

GUIDES: Yes. This is a difficult one. It is similar to: how can one be peaceful when one is suffering? Let us look at the somatics of this first. Not everyone will understand the concept of “surrender”. To some it means giving up; to others, as in this case, it means acceptance. We would prefer to talk about: imagine trying to have a good day when the clouds are very dark, it is pouring with rain and you are soaked.

You are not just your body. One of the teachings that your friend who has asked the question is most interested in, is where the mind interfaces with the body. He is nervous that if he moves his mind too far from the body he may just cause his own exit.

The mind processes experience and it labels it as good and bad e.g. when the body feels light and airy, this is good. The acceptance of this leads to further states of elation and further states of feeling light and airy. When it experiences a state that is commonly known as negative, such as chronic pain, the mind labels this painful, difficult, hard and it takes the focus off the mind and it absorbs it in the pain. It circulates the focus of the pain in and around the pain.

This has the unfortunate ability to almost extinguish all parts of your life force so that the whole of one’s being feels like it is one big ball of pain. Now, we are not talking about taking away the pain from the body. We are suggesting that there is a way that the body, in its painful state, and you can co-exist.

How does this happen? The same way that someone who is handicapped can smile. It is possible to be in great pain and regain a sense of humour and a sense of optimism. However, we understand it is also very difficult. The nature of pain is to draw the mind, to draw all of those around you, into the pain and it is akin to a negative vortex.

We would ask those of you who are experiencing pain to allow the body to become as comfortable as possible. One of the great misnomers and difficulties with chronic pain is that it is stressful in itself. This causes the body to tense which exacerbates the pain. If you can learn to relax whilst in pain, we will call you “little Buddha” but, you will also experience a lightening of being. This will help free you from what feels like a life of perpetual misery. Over time, it will alleviate the worst effects of pain from the body.

The body will go through its cycles; at times it will be in a state of elation, at times it will be in a state of pain. But the body will always be looking to get itself back to health. Take comfort in that and help it out. Help it out by getting comfort and, as much as you can, taking the mind’s focus from the pain onto something which feels a little easier, this can be a film, birds, a conversation, a candle, a meditation. This is difficult for the pain will always pull the mind back but it can be used as a practice and over time this will be of great help for all of you who suffer pain, at times.

One of the most difficult pains to alleviate is pain in the head. For this is where the pain is directed into the mind. This requires, as is said in modern idiom, “lying in a dark room”. Give yourself what you need at all times. You will have an instinctive knowing of what will bring you relief. The relief may seem trivial to the effort when you are in pain but if you choose it, you are choosing to move towards life affirmation and thus, greater levels of healing.

Have we answered this question, Fiona?

FIONA: Yes, thank you. I have one more question relating to this. What about the role of pain relief medication versus using the techniques you have mentioned?

GUIDES: This should all be utilised, there is no need for suffering.

FIONA: What about when this medication has side effects such as drowsiness, such that one cannot function properly within their family?

GUIDES: For some, Fiona, the drowsiness will be a welcome relief to an alertness of living with chronic pain. For others, where the pain is of a lesser degree, it will be a difficult balancing act. There are those who do suffer with being able to function in day to day life and tolerate their pain medications. Keep seeking new approaches and feel what is right. Give the body what it needs. You will always juggle.

Ask yourself: What does your body need this time? What do you need this time? You may find you are fighting yourself. Your body needs rest yet your mind is telling you to complete a “to do list” or, must not let someone down or, be a soldier. Always look to harmonise yourself with the body. Remembering, that you are in union with the body. You are neither your body nor is your body you, but you work in union.

11: Cancer medication & chemotherapy &side effects

Background from Fiona
This was and remains a painful session I had with the guides (Zoe channelling). It probed many of my fears, upsets, views and prejudices. I was pretty grumpy and upset towards the end and the guides were pretty straight talking in their responses to me!

START

FIONA: Many people taking medication for cancer for both the short or long term get painful side effects and symptoms. What is your advice?

GUIDES: If this is the best that is given, and you believe it will help you, then understand that whatever you put into the body will have an effect on the body. Do not allow your spirits to be brought down. For example, those who choose to try mangisteen would soon find it has a huge laxative effect. That is cause and effect. You eat more mangisteen and have to spend time on the loo. If you consume pharmaceuticals you will experience an effect on the body.

Humans only wish to experience positive effects and wish to eradicate the negative effects- this is not always possible. But whilst there may be unpleasant effects, and what might seem downright unkind effects of medication, remember why you are taking this.

Do not allow your mind to cause further suffering by dwelling on these side effects. Embrace the possibilities they are presenting to you. You are already ingesting them and they are already at work within your system.
Have we answered this?

FIONA: Yes. I have been wondering whether the harsh effects of chemotherapy, such as losing hair, feeling ill, vomiting, etc, are some way of us wanting to punish ourselves.

GUIDES: We would love, in the future, for medical studies to include a mental and emotional response to a drug. This would be very difficult. All that is ever important is the relationship between one’s self and the drug.

On the diagnosis of cancer one feels like a failure, then one’s option, when one already feels like a failure, is to take what feels like poison. You are on to something, Fiona.

However, for as long as this is the best that is available then, for those who wish to extend their lives and have a window of hope, this is the best option. How you respond to this option mentally and emotionally is crucial. We see that there are now support centres for those diagnosed with cancer, coming to terms with the words, “you have cancer”. We applaud this. This is what is needed. You did not give yourself cancer. You did not do this to punish yourself. This was not a conscious choice.

Similarly there are a tiny amount of you who would choose chemotherapy or other forms, as a way to punish yourself consciously. We often hear, from the hearts and minds of those going through this: “I deserve this”. “This is my worth”. “This is it now”. This saddens us a great deal. There is no need for punishment; this is simply the best of what is available. The medics understand it is crude. However, it is the best of what is available. Nothing is ever willingly given to someone as the worst option. Medicine is not an instrument of torture although for some it feels as if it is.

Therefore, we say, come to terms with your diagnosis as quickly as possible. Understand the mechanisms that have been happening within the body. Boost the life affirm-ment in life and you will cope, with not only the diagnosis, with not only the medication, but the within the body living as well. After all, that is what you are here doing. A diagnosis and forms of medication is all part of living at this moment. Coming to terms with this will help you immensely and certainly aid the recovery that is available to you.

FIONA: I don’t believe that chemo is always the best option.

GUIDES: That is your opinion.

FIONA: But you said it is the best option available to people.

GUIDES: You wouldn’t. Look at your relationship with it.

FIONA: But if you look at the statistics, for example, for those with early stage breast cancer the percentage increase in survival with some types of chemo for some patient groups is only around 3%. This is for a therapy which may cause other physical issues to the body which may then take years to recover from.

GUIDES: Then why not die immediately? Why bother speaking to a Dr?

The fact that there is a mechanism, you say a 3% chance of help, is a wonder of life. Just because it does not come in a pleasant bottle does not mean that it does not say love and life within it. We have yet to meet many people who enjoy chemotherapy. Having an appropriate mental and emotional response to the medicine of choice is helpful. What is the medicine of choice? That is the medicine of choice you are offered from your practitioner. You always have the ability to say yes or no to it.

You are at a different stage now, Fiona. That 3% would have meant more to you then than it does now.

FIONA: I know someone who was killed by chemotherapy. Her cancer was early stage. What are your thoughts?

GUIDES: That is an individual case.
We can say that for many an exit clause is given prior to greater suffering. When the time of passing is near there needs to be a mechanism to take you from where you are to where we are. That can be a bee sting; that can be a car.

All of you: be careful of where the mind and the heart wish to rest on the subject of medication for you. For as long as you are taking medication be proud of the fact that you are affirming to yourself that you want something better than where you are, and work towards achieving that.

Lift your hearts and minds to the possibility of creating a better life. Medicines and foods were not put in place to make your lives worse, to take a bad situation and compound it even further. But to give you light, hope.

We leave you with this for today, Fiona. We ask you to look at your personal relationship with your medication.

10: Which diet should I follow?

Dear Readers, I would love some of your questions to ask the guides. Please post them in the comments section. Thanks!

Chanelled session

FIONA:
Diet is often considered to be a key element of healing from cancer. However, much of the information on diet is contradictory. What do you think?

GUIDES:
Diet is a way to support the body, choosing food as a way to boost the immune system and as a way to calm the system is very helpful. However, often, some of the diets that are chosen have a shock affect. We don’t see these as necessarily helpful. Often, the thought that one might have cancer is so scary that it is avoided. The diagnosis of cancer is always a shock, this has a destabilising effect. To then try a route of healing which has a shock value can also have a destabilising effect. We would suggest that the work is done to bring you towards enjoyment of life. If you mean do we think you should eat celery sticks instead of chocolate bars, we would ask you to look at your relationship to the celery stick and chocolate bar.

FIONA:

How should one balance giving the body good nutrition with ensuring fun in one’s life which could include eating chocolate and cake?

GUIDES:
When someone is diagnosed with cancer they will then often find out about dietary methods for healing the body. Diet programs that are promoted as beneficial may be extreme for an individual because it in no way resembles what they have eaten before. This may be a shock. If it is this will destabilise the system.
We see no, if little, benefit in this.

If you choose to try this, then try it for several days to ensure that you at least get a feel good factor, a boost, a cleansing of the body. Food is not just a mechanism for providing nutrition. Food is a way that you express yourself with yourself. To deny yourself is to deny the life force within. This does not mean that we advocate that you eat a chocolate cake a day either. Some would rather eat a celery stick.

There has been a saying around diet for thousands of years: “moderation in all things”. We suggest that is a more healthy way. Unfortunately, often, when a diagnosis is given or treatment commences, one’s sense of self becomes lost and one does not know which way to turn. Turn within. Do what feels right. If this is lost to you and you do not know which way to go, try things. If they affirm life for you, then continue. If they make life feel worth less than before, then desist. Is this clear, Fiona?

FIONA:
Yes. I understand this; however, there are many studies on the healing qualities of certain foods, diets and supplements such as superfoods, algae, and wheatgrass proving that they have a beneficial effect. How does this work?

GUIDES:
Belief! They believe they will do better on them. They believe these superfoods will heal their body. Therefore it is a life affirming choice. We are not saying that, if a group of people who did not have a diagnosis hanging over them were to switch to a raw food diet that they would not feel better. Within the body there would be potentially an increase in cognitive function, in life force, but these are people who would willingly follow this diet. To give this type of diet to someone who has, in your language, an addiction to sugars or carbohydrates would shock the system further. Some might say but this is what is needed. At times we might agree. However when the system is destabilised giving further destabilising factors cannot be helpful.

For those who believe there is benefit in algae, in other forms of foods, eat this food! Ingest your faith and belief in this food. This will help you. For those who eat it and hate every mouthful- desist. Does this make sense, Fiona?

Food is not simply molecules of nutrients; you have a relationship to food. It affects you physically, emotionally, mentally. If we could just take some cells out of your body and take them away from your mind and your heart, then who knows what spirulina could do. But we cannot do that; you cannot do that. This is why throughout time the concept of a balance was recommended, so there is enough of one and enough of another, for a human being to feel good, on all levels.

Whilst there are information pockets on the benefits of nutrition we also hear the cries of those who follow these regimens and do not get better. Hence our desire to complete the information loops on this matter.

Those who do not get better from their mangosteen often turn to us in despair. We use terminology such as spirulina and mangosteen as examples, not as specifics. Both were also created by God, just like you. There needs to be a rounding of information so that the hopes and dreams do not go down avenues that prove fruitless. Blame is not left at the door of those who seem unable to beat their cancer.

We think you will get lots of comments on this one, Fiona.

9: How is my body doing ? What's best for my body ?

FIONA
How can one best know the state of one’s physical body so that you can then know what action is best?

GUIDES

We wish all of you to understand the state of homeostasis, of how you are. This is not just on a physical body level. You need to understand how you are. Full stop.

How do you do that? You make time to ask the question. You make time to listen to the answer. Should the answer be a suggestion of what might help, you give that to yourself. This happens anyway e.g. if too much alcohol is drunk, you will feel that. You will feel tired; an increased need for water, perhaps salt and you will feel and experience a desire for rest. What will you do about that? Will you give yourself what your system needs or give yourself a telling off, “You inflicted this upon yourself, so get on with it!” Your body simply consumed the alcohol because you gave it to it. The body is trying to restore itself back to health. Will you give it its answer?

This is the same for many of you. You are frightened to ask what is wrong. For many of you, what might have happened in the past is scarier than an accumulation of cells called ‘a mass’. Whatever you know to be your truth, go there. It may not seem logical; you may not understand it. But take the time to ask the question, listen and then seek help should you need it. This can be on many, many levels.

The body carries your life experience, your emotions, your thoughts and your belief system, on how you and the universe fit and work together. If something goes wrong within the body then something has gone wrong elsewhere too. Your system is designed to show you where you need to go and whilst you may wish to go straight to the elimination of cells, your system may wish you to take a detour. Or, what feels like a detour. But, go there. For those who are scared, get help with the fear. Allow yourself to have your hand held throughout this.

You are not put on earth by any spiritual force to suffer. No one wants you to suffer. You are not designed – physically, emotionally, mentally, spiritually- to suffer. You are designed to reach a low point and bounce back. Everything is there for you to bounce back. Follow your own inner signposts. Get help where you need it.

Including getting into the habit of asking the question: how am I? Including, how to get help accessing the answer. Including, overriding habits from the past that stop you giving yourself what it is you need, as well as medicine and other approaches.

Have we answered this?

FIONA

Yes. One more question then.

How can one know which treatment is the best for them?

GUIDES

This is a highly personalised question.

There are many routes into healing, through medicine and through other approaches. You need to be mindful that whatever you choose is likely to be a result of your beliefs of how you and the universe fit together. For example, if someone wants to feel good they may choose an apple, or a sugary drink, or a shopping spree, or meditation. All of those choices have no external right or wrong.

For another to judge that one is better is a judgement call based on their belief of how they fit with the universe. Medicine was created to alleviate the suffering of man, so were most religions. Each of you must ask yourself: where do I fit in this universe? What are my beliefs? Be honest! You may wish to be the person who feels better by meditation but the sugary drink might help you feel happier and wasn’t that why you wanted to take something.

Ask yourself honesty: Where is your faith?
If you don’t know, do as much as you can and can afford. If you do know then pursue that option. Do not kid yourself on this. Many of our friends on earth wish to be something that they aren’t. This doesn’t help bring the body back towards life and health in a short time frame.

Have we answered this, Fiona?

FIONA

Yes. Thank you

GUIDES

You are welcome. Each person must look within. There is no easy answer for anyone. Unless you follow a system but even then you must question it. Regardless of where it comes from, question it and ensure you have a point of harmony with it. This is all for today.

8:Practical tips for healing

Background to call: Fiona wants to know how best can she heal her body

FIONA
We touched on this next one before. How does one ensure that that the mind doesn’t direct the body to do more than it can handle? How can I tell when it is happening?

GUIDES
The body doing more than it can handle is a misnomer in some respects. The body is capable of moving via instruction until collapsing. The question is really: How to know when body has done enough and you do not want to miss the opportunity for maximum healing potential.

Let us describe this further: you wish to have enough life force and energy within the body to carry out day- to- day life and to facilitate levels of transformative healing. We expect this is the case for all of you coming to this site. It is likely, that in times gone by, you have simply worked the body until it was tired and the body’s self healing mechanisms were not a consideration. Many of you will know that when a system within the body is stimulated, such as the digestive system through eating, resources in the body are diverted to that process. Yet, you can still get up and move, you can eat on the go. So the body has an immense capacity for working with movement. But this is not what you wish to know about.

Ideally, you are looking to do the minimum of day to day chores; getting up, preparing food, and keeping a store of energy for healing. For those of you brought up to eat at a table, to sit at a table and let your food digest, you will understand this. There needs to be a time frame that is similar to sitting and resting and letting the body heal. It is akin to basking in the sun. Or enjoying the breeze on your skin.

For those not brought up in a home where body functions and giving body functions time was valued, and indeed indoctrinated, you will need to learn this if you wish your body to heal to its best capacity. This is a fine line. For those who were brought up to give your body time to digest its food, understand as you need to give your body time to heal. You can formalise this, you can make this your healing time.
Many of you will do this anyway. Give yourself time. Perhaps life of old has stopped for you now. Perhaps you have given up work, like Fiona, and the focus is on healing. If the focus is on healing, then let the focus be on healing. If you focus on healing, and run around, and stress, and treat your healings, approaches to healings, and mechanisms for healing, (such as Dr's appointments, complementary approaches, perhaps meditations or book reading etc), you must give this to yourself fully; otherwise it becomes a chore.

This is a great subject and is not just for those who have a diagnosis or have had a diagnosis or know someone with a diagnosis. It is giving you the opportunity to understand that you can give yourself what you need. But you need to give it to yourself. Kidding yourself that you are doing something when the mindset hasn’t changed is not really giving yourself something at all. That is the theory.
What do we mean by in practice? For those of you who have been brought up with giving the body time and space for healing, this is wonderful. Continue to do this. Indulge in this. Practically give yourself time and space to pursue that which has a positive, relaxing effect on you, guilt free, stress free, without worry, without concern.

For those of you for whom that is not possible- perhaps it is not possible for you to give up work, perhaps your worldly commitments make it impossible for you to change much of life, you may have children, you may have others who are dependent upon you. Yet, you still need to make space to heal. This can be done. This can be taken in 5 minutes.

How do you do this?

You sit. You sit in your car or in a form of transport, even in the bathroom. You sit and open up to healing. Breathe in healing. Giving yourself space and time to heal. Five minutes. Take this throughout the day. This cannot be given as another chore. This must be taken and experienced as something positive.

How?

You simply sit, have your eyes open or shut, and have a thought to open up the body’s systems to healing. Take a deep breath and trust that your body is now healing. There are forces in this world who may wish to help and should you wish you may call upon them.

Time these 5 minutes and stay as positive, open and receptive to healing as you can. Allow these to be the equivalent in feeling terms in as basking in the sun or the breeze on your skin. Then return back to day- to-day life.
Do you have any further questions on this, Fiona?

FIONA
Could you elaborate on the bit about, “There are forces out there that will help you heal?”

GUIDES
Yes, whatever your framework is, that is beyond you, that is benevolent, call upon it. Your framework is your belief system.

FIONA
Can someone feel, within these 5 minutes, the healing taking place within their body?

GUIDES
Yes, trusting. You not be able to feel a change but you can trust a change is occurring. E.g. some may trust the digestive process others may need a gaseous exchange to experience the digestive process. But it is still happening whether you feel it or not. For healing- especially with a diagnosis, such as one you or someone you know may have- trust is crucial. You must trust that the body is healing. For it is. It is always in a state of repair. But for some of you, you have lost the faith in that. You have lost faith in the body. You think your body has turned against you. Take this time and stimulate the body’s healing mechanisms. This can be done with a thought and asking for help to do this, should your framework allow this for you.

7: Who are these spirit guides ?

Background to call: Fiona has linked up with Zoe who is channelling the answers to Fiona's questions.

FIONA
Who are you and where are you ?

GUIDES
We are a collective spiritual force, a force for good. Some people call us their angels or guides. In other spheres, working with other groups, we have given ourselves a name. We are more than one individual.

We are a collective that wish to deliver understanding to those in need at this time. There is an opportunity for some of you to grow spiritually and evolve. We wish to show some of you how to do this.

Often, you may be brought to us, and material such as this, through great tragedy in life. Think of us as your guiding light. We will leave it at that.

FIONA
But where are you?

GUIDES
In the hearts and minds of men. We are like a force that exists in, throughout and beyond the hearts and minds of men. We are like an intelligence that defies time, and gravity, and space, and form. We are effectively eternal. We exist within all of you, and can be connected to, via all of you. Should you wish to speak to us directly, and you can, go within. We are not outside your body we are inside.

6: Your body did not do this to you

Background to call: Fiona is feeling ill

FIONA: WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO START TO TRUST YOUR BODY AGAIN AFTER A DIAGNOSIS OF CANCER? MANY PEOPLE FEEL THEY CANNOT TRUST THEIR BODIES. THEY FEEL THEY HAVE NO CONTROL OVER THEIR BODIES AND HAVE BEEN BETRAYED BY THEIR BODIES.

GUIDES
: Yes, this is a very relevant question.

It is often the case that their body has done this to them. Their body has taken away life from them. What they fail to understand is that they had taken away life from themselves and the body simply responded.

Understand, all of you who are living with the name cancer or who are waiting for a period of time to pass until you don’t need to use it anymore. Understand that the body did not let you down; neither did you deliberately chose cancer.

Sometimes within the alternative movement you are told that, “you created it yourself”. Whilst your body responded to your relationship with your life, we are not sure if we have ever experienced an individual who sat down and deliberately manifested cancer cells to overrun their immune system and create a mass. So understand that the body didn’t let you down. There was something happening in your life to the point of diagnosis and perhaps to this point today, that opened up the mechanism for exit.

With this knowledge understand that you can now support your body, for it is only your body that can rid itself of this. It may be able to do so if it not too far down the track to the connection with exit. How far down are you on that connection to exit? Only you can know that. Your Drs may give you insight based on what they have seen with other people but only you can know how alive you are. Even if you are feeling alive the connection to exit may still be in place for you for it has been firmly established and cannot be overwritten. But until you know that, live and enjoy life.

Your body did not do this to you and you did not do this to your body with deliberate intention. However, the manifestation to the exit did occur. This usually happens for there has been a lack of connection to life. Very occasionally the connection to exit can occur because spiritually your time has come. A time will come for all of you. We hope this work survives its co-creators but it will come for them too.

We certainly do not do this to your bodies. Sometimes you blame God: “God did this to me”. Or, God is a real “bleep” because he won’t take this away. Or, where are my angels now that I am dying? Your angels now are always with you, including when you are dying.

So, understand that the body requires care and attention. The more fearful you are of the body, the more we urge you to love your body; the more you continue to fear and resent your body, the more you will disconnect from the reality of life which is - you are alive within your body. Do whatever it takes for you to begin to love your body again and by this we do not mean lose weight or gain weight. We mean love. It is not about the form of the body or what the form represents to those around you or what you believe the form means because of standards that others, including your society. Love yourself for who you are. Care for your body. The more you are fearful, the more you must work at this. The greater the journey will be for you to love yourself once more.

You cannot heal and disrespect your body at the same time. Healing must come via the physical. It can be positively influenced via the mind and via the spirit but its mechanisms must work via the cellular functioning’s of the body. You cannot do this by hating and resenting your body. So, your body did something that you didn’t consciously wish it to do; it is still giving you an opportunity to wake up. So, wake up and begin loving your body. Whatever this means. We have seen that for many this means taking up forms of dance, forms of creative expression via the body and we support this. We would also see a greater appreciation for the role of sexuality in your body. Genuine, authentic, feel good sexuality in your body.

What this is not to be is a drive to force the body back to health, devoid of love, such as we see. We see this on juice diets. “This will make you healthy, body; I don’t care if you don’t like it, body (i.e. it doesn’t taste good), you‘re having it”. That is not love. Nurture and nourish your body, with love. This is more powerful than any antioxidant you can put into your system. Understand this. Ideally, do both. When the body is in a state that has formed a mass, it is out of balance. Do what you have to do to bring it back into balance, with love. The prescription is love at the top and juice diets at the bottom, if at all.
Have we answered your question?

FIONA: YES, THANK YOU. I AM NOT GOING TO ASK ANYMORE QUESTIONS TODAY AS WE HAVE COVERED A LOT.

GUIDES: Yes, we agree. Your system has had enough. Recognise that you will be tired today, Fiona, for your system is out of balance and has been exposed to us!

FIONA: WHAT SHOULD I DO TO BRING IT BACK INTO BALANCE?

GUIDES: Rest, all you need is rest. You have been exerting yourself physically more than you are capable of doing. Do not allow the mind to do more than the body is able to handle.

You understand this? We will speak about this next time, this is very important. This is why many of you manifest a mechanism to exit. The body becomes so disengaged from the desires and the driving force of the mind. So learn the lesson with the virus and who knows maybe the cells with the “c” word will take care of themselves.

FIONA: IS THAT SUPPOSED TO TELL ME THAT I STILL HAVE NAUGHTY CELLS IN MY BODY?!

GUIDES: No, we are laughing at this. We knew this came next. It is our joke. You always have cells of these in the body.

FIONA: THAT IS TRUE

GUIDES: Use this part of the conversation on the blog. We leave you now. Goodbye and thank you.

FIONA: SEE YOU NEXT TIME

GUIDES: Yes, we won’t go anywhere.

Medical tests and Dr's appointments

FIONA: WHAT ABOUT OTHER FEARS CONNECTED TO LIVING, SUCH AS ONCOLOGIST APPOINTMENTS WHICH ARE OFTEN VERY FEARFUL, PARTICULARLY IF YOU ARE EXPECTING TEST RESULTS?

GUIDES: We find this ironic, that the weight of the world is given to one person to tell you, when the reality is already within your own body. Recognise this: there is nothing that someone can tell you that you that you are not already living with. You are the truth of your health. Another that has access to equipment that can measure things, that can tell you how things stack against another, simply has insight on this issue. These people, most of them, who do this work- and who would wish to do this work? Let us think about it. Who would wish to work with people with cancer? Have compassion for the people who throughout their day may not know who they have to give their life or death diagnosis to.

You are the one who has the power. You are the one who has the power to connect to you. You are the one who inhabits the body together with the mass that you may be about to hear about. You are not separate in any way yet there is great fear about this ‘thing’ that lives in you as if it is a parasite. Really, this is the mechanism to take you to your exit. That is all it is.

If you don’t like the fact that the mechanism to take you to your exit has kicked off, connect to the opposite side, which is life. There are times in life where you are given bad news or bad life events happen to you; by ‘bad’ we mean that which you wouldn’t choose consciously. But recognise this is part of the process of learning to be a happy, healthy, balanced human being. You have many, many sayings for this: rolling with punches is one we particularly like. We like it for you can come back from punches and it can feel like a punch and you can simply roll. Why not roll from a punch? It is better than having a bleeding nose! We jest on this. Simply understand that you are in control of your health and this situation.

This person who chooses to do this for a living has an infinite capacity for the suffering of man. No joy is ever taken from giving information such as, ‘we think this is terminal’. So have understanding of self, understanding that, for whatever reason that you may or may not be aware of, the mechanism to the exit has been activated. You can do what you choose to do to take you back to life.

Remember that you have not exited yet and for as long as there is life within, you are life itself, so live. These people have no power over you and in many ways have one of the best and the worst jobs in the world; they get to explore the depth of humanity.

FIONA: YOU SAID THAT THESE DRS HAVE NO POWER OVER YOU. HOWEVER, THERE IS OFTEN A VERY STRONGLY PERCEIVED NOTION OF POWER OVER THE PATEINT, IN TERMS OF THE DRS PROGNOSIS. CAN YOU TALK ABOUT DRS VIEWS AND HOW THEY MAY OR MAY NOT BE FACTUAL?

GUIDES: The best thing about cancer is that it shouts loudest of all: wake up! There are other diagnoses such as AIDs where currently there is no wake up call that can be chosen. Their call is simply ‘wake up’ and know that you are on your way to the exit. Cancer is not known. The body, however, will present itself to a Dr at some stage of manifestation towards the exit. The closer to the exit, the more serious the words that might be used, the word ‘terminal’ might be used. This is your reality, not the Drs.

The Drs simply impart an opinion that is prevalent and from their perspective it would be insane to ignore it. This is the position of power you are asking about. From their perspective, as a profession, it would be insane to ignore a chance to recover. Their entire profession is geared up to keep you alive. So, if they believe that you may respond to a treatment they will think it is insane that you may not chose it. For they have chosen to align their lives with keeping you alive. This is the power you think of; they are on, for most of the time, your side. Yet because they give you the bad news, because the deliver the wake up call, from yourself to you, you often fail to recognise them. And you fail to recognise them as human beings.

After all, all they do is read out a piece of paper or information from a computer screen. And you trade yourself for that information. Do you wish to take this further?

FIONA: YES, WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO STAY CONNECTED TO LIVING?

GUIDES: Love the Dr. Understand that their Dr simply gives them verbal information about what is happening in them. The Dr has no power over them. So, simply love and feel compassionate for the person who has to tell you whether you are about to have a good day or a bad day, independently of you, it seems, at times. They understand their position of power and sometimes they can have a bad day.

FIONA: IF, AFTER SUCH A MEETING IF YOU DON’T FEEL IN YOUR POWER, WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO CONNECT BACK TO LIFE?

GUIDES: This will be different for every individual. What ‘life’ means to an individual is different from one to the next. What ‘life’ means to an individual at one time can be different from the next time. So there is time where the best thing in the world can feel like a summer day with a book and there is another time where the best thing in the world can be snow and a fire. Sometimes, the best thing in the world can be all of your friends, there are times when it can be none of your friends.

Connect with who you are at that time and give yourself what it is you need. Recognise though, that if you have opened the mechanism to exit, you have not been giving yourself what you need for a sustained time. So, it will not be the first chocolate bar, or holiday, or meaningful romance, or 6 kilos that you've put on that will re-establish your connection to life and disable the mechanism to the exit. There must be at least as many connections to life, at least, as there was to the mechanism that kicked off the exit. Does this make sense?

FIONA: YES

GUIDES: Many give up on this and think: I’ll do this, I’ll do this, and I’ll do this. Oh look, the Drs told me that I’m still dying. The reality is that you are dying anyway. You only have one exit. But you can be in charge of the quality of how you live while you are alive and this may be enough to disable the mechanism towards the exit.

4: Fear of living and dying

FIONA: WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO OVERCOME THE FEAR OF LIFE?

GUIDES: Live. How do you live? This is the best question you have asked us so far, Fiona. Do you know that many of you do not know how to live? What life is equated with, is an automatic functioning which feels like a death of the spirit. It is an alarm clock in the morning, a shower followed by something to eat, followed by a hard day at the office, followed by television, alcohol and then rest. This is life of a sort but living in its fullest extent is the enfoldment of self into the physical environment. This can happen through enjoyment but most importantly this can happen through connection to everything in life.

Zoë has just written about the importance of being conscious through your domestic life. This is what we mean by this. It means switching off autopilot. Hear your alarm; if you don’t like it choose another one. If you hate it, go to bed earlier so you can wake without one. It is about engaging with everything that is before you and assessing: Can I, in my entirety, exist with this? This is why we say, if you do not like your alarm call get another one. Why should you be woken by an alarming sound that instils fear and dread into you when you could be woken up with birdsong? But this is not something people think about.

Similarly, be aware of everything you choose to expose yourself to. You are a sensory being. You have your five senses. Yet many people expose themselves to sensory material that is fashionable rather than allows the spirit to unfold and enjoy itself in. There was once a movement, backed by us for obvious reasons that encouraged the enfoldment of spirit through love, beauty and truth. We think it is time for this again.

Give us some specifics, Fiona, and we’ll give you some suggestions. We feel our answer is very clear from our perspective but perhaps not for those who will find it difficult to live because they may never have done it.

FIONA: I WILL GIVE YOU SOME SPECIFIC EXAMPLES OF THINGS WHICH PEOPLE WHO HAVE HAD A DIAGNOSIS OF CANCER MAY FIND DIFFICULT. IN WHICH PARTICULAR FEARS OF LIVING MAY BE TRIGGERED.

THE FIRST ONE IS A FEAR OF TRAVELLINGSOMEWHERE OR GOING ON HOLIDAY SOMEWHERE NEW. YOU DON’T KNOW THE ENVIRONMENT, OR WHETHER THERE IS ACCESS TO MEDICAL TREATMENT, OR WHAT THE FOOD IS LIKE, YOU DON’T KNOW THE ACCOMODATION OR WEATHER. YOU DON’T KNOW HOW YOUR BODY WILL RESPOND.

GUIDES: Let’s answer one by one.

You need to be aware that many people without cancer do not travel because of all of these fears. What does cancer mean to all of these fears? Nothing. What does it give to all of these fears? More fear. So, you need to ask yourself: what is important to me, living or being in fear? And you can choose that living to you means managing risks, such as healthcare. Management of risk will be different from one individual to another. One individual may think it is perfectly ok to go and explore their dream holiday in the jungles of Peru; this will be a way of for them to fulfil a lifelong dream. For another, managing risk will be going to a country such as Germany that is known for its cancer treatment. For another, it will mean going to the garden beside the hospital just in case anything happens.

Now, be mindful at all times, regardless of the fear: Where is my connection to life with this fear? The nature of fear is always to take the connection of life away. This is what fear does. It removes you from your immediate environment and creates another reality that, most often, does not exist. There is really only the onslaught of violence that requires the level of fear in the body that warrants an affirmation in life. That is what fear was originally designed to do: to take you away, to preserve your life, to make you run. If you wanted to go, then you could stand before that sabre tooth tiger. Nowadays, it is different.

Nowadays, the levels of perpetual fear in life create the equivalent of standing before the sabre tooth tiger and can create a situation that manifests illness or disease and that maybe a mass diagnosed as cancer.

Have we answered this? Let’s use you for this. Where would you like to go, Fiona? What would you like to do?

FIONA: I’D LIKE TO GO TO BRAZIL, THE CARRIBEAN, OR INDIA.

GUIDES: Which is the country that is best for you? Which is the country that is best for your cancer?

FIONA: I DON’T KNOW

GUIDES: We are glad you said that because we wouldn’t have liked an answer for your cancer for it would be a living reality all of its own rather than part of you.

If you have three countries you would like to explore, ask yourself , which, at this time, is the most life affirming. What do we mean by that? Which fills me with the most excitement? Excitement is a life affirming connection.

This can also be terrifying so, for example, if you have only travelled to your small town and suddenly you move to the big city this can be terrifying but if it is something you have always wanted to do then it is a good thing to experience. You can always go somewhere and decide to never do that again. You are not going to travel to a country and suddenly this country will manifest more cancer for you; only you can do that. So make decisions based on what will connect you more to yourself which is life and life which is also yourself, at any time.

FIONA: SOUNDS GOOD.
